'I loved this book! :) The little elephant, Eyesha, wanders off, and her mother had told her that is dangerous. She learns a lesson. This is very relatable for children, too, as they need to be kept safe by their parents. The story kept my attention, as I worried about Eyesha, when she was afraid. The illustrations are really nice, too! I learned many new facts about elephants, and love how smart they are, and they have emotions. There is a glossary of new words in back, and elephant facts, and discussion questions. I love this book series about life in Sri Lanka! :) It is so good for kids to expand their horizons, and learn about other places! Fun story! :)'

'That's it. After reading this book I want to quit the human race and join the far more civilized world of Asian Elephants. A warm, inviting, well-written tale that will appeal to both young readers and the grown-ups they eventually become. Highly recommended for any parent who wants to open their children's eyes to the wonder and warmth of other species on our planet.'

Try as they might, her elders try to teach the young elephants to stay near, but Eyesha has other ideas. She soon learns her lesson.
